Sneak Peeks

Here's a few teasers from what I'm currently working on:

The Man and the Satyr Painting

Oooh creepy sci-fi magical girl fight!

I've also finished two posters which I will post soon! One is going to be used as promotion and prizes for Dr. Sketchy's Grand Rapids!

Whew what a productive Halloweek.

Rough for my bigger painting

Tommy the lovely model as sprinkle stubble!

Children of the Lost Planet

A drawing I did for Lisa McVety! These are her chilluns Josh and Max at a young age as monster aliens! Done in colored pencil on toned paper.
Here's the reference image I used:

The Cure Show

This is a piece I made for The Cure Show happening in Grand Rapids during Art Prize. Hopefully I get in! Of course I wanted to use candy, commenting on the sickly sweet love songs The Cure put out which were most of their chart toppers. Robert Smith is either doom and gloom or coated in sugar. Still trying to think of a name for this one.

Succubus love

More pastel from figure drawing, I completely changed the model pretty much only keeping her lighting and anatomy. The teacher put fairy wings on her but I didn't wanna draw a fairy so this was my solution lol. You can probably tell I was heavily inspired by Morrigan and Warcraft. I have another pastel piece from figure drawing that I'm working on outside of class, I made the model look like a geisha. I'll have pics of it up soon!

Some drawings from my summer figure drawing class

6 hours of figure drawing can be bleh...but I like most of what I've done so far.
Couldn't pass up drawing this lady's rainbow socks.
I call this one "Lisa Frank's Body"
My teacher decided to name him Zardoz

Sailor Moon Inspired Portrait

Quick watercolor and metallic paint portrait inspired by Sailor Moon. Funny story behind this, my aunt bought it, probably thinking it was an angelic portrait which, I suppose isn't too far off. Wish I had a better picture of this one.

Witchy

Another old sketch I did in England inspired by the witch stories my dad used to tell me. I'll be scanning in my newer stuff when I get back from break!

Orchid Girl

This is an old sketch I did while in England. It was for a family I was staying with who grew orchids. I think it would make a cool shirt and I may add color to it.
